David Castañeda – En sann verklighet (CD – superjewelcase)

After a career as a pop artist, David Castañeda has landed in what is more a matter of his heart than a particular style of music – worship.

The passion for God is clearly felt in the lyrics, which point unanimously and vertically upwards. But it also permeates the music, where every instrument is intended to worship God. On the opening track “Ps 150” – which is based on Psalm 150 – it is the instruments that stand for the song of praise.

David has an ability to write accurate melodies and beautiful harmonies that have their roots deep in Scandinavian rock. It’s about guitar-dominated worship rock where every part is considered important. The lyrics are mostly in Swedish, but there are also a couple of English songs among the album’s 12 tracks.

David’s message with the album “En sann verklighet” (“A true reality”) is to believe in the unbelievable. He also wants to bring out the importance of identifying oneself in God instead of one’s gifts or circumstances.

The album also features guests from worship leader Brenton Brown (appears courtesy of Survivor Records) and Daniel Ornellas (Tree63, etc.)!
