Gemenskap – En ton från Himmelen (CD – digifile)

Eighth album in the Gemenskap (Community) hymn series. This time it’s Erik Runeson (“Vi vill ge dig ära” (“We want to give you glory”) and “Hjärtats lovsång” “Worship from the Heart”)) with friends who come together in simple, down-to-earth praise.

The acclaimed Gemenskap hymn series is now being expanded with another album, entitled “En ton från Himmelen” (“A Tone from Heaven”).

The worship leader on the record is Erik Runeson, who previously appeared on the highly appreciated records “Vi vill ge dig ära” and “Hjärtats lovsång”.

Together with family and friends such as cousin Andreas and his wife Mia Runeson (David Media), and sister Sofia Runeson (“Vi vill ge dig ära”, “Nu er vi ett i Jesus”), they offer pared down versions of famous, lesser known and previously unrecorded hymns.

“En ton från Himmelen” is largely reminiscent of Erik’s earlier records in the Gemenskap series, where the vocals are mainly backed by an acoustic guitar. This time also with beautiful piano playing, electric guitar and electric organ, but with the same warm feeling as its predecessor.

The single “Forma mitt hjärta” (“Shape My Heart”) was released just before Christmas and is available on all digital platforms.

The record is the eighth in the Gemenskap hymn series. A hymn series with a focus on stripped down worship from the small group.

The albums are often used as “worship leaders” in prayer groups, personal devotions and smaller contexts, but also inspire larger contexts.
